found out my childhood friend kept a paper boat I made in elementary school

so there's this kid I've known since forever right. like we literally grew up next door to each other and after school I'd just show up at their place constantly. and every single time I'd go over there was this beat-up paper boat sitting on their desk. one day I was like hey are you like... keeping that or?? and they just smiled and nodded at me.

so TODAY I'm cleaning my room and I find my elementary school diary. I start reading through it and there's literally an entry about how I folded a paper boat during art class and GAVE IT TO THEM.

it has to be the same one right??? like why would they still have it after all these years. they're still looking at it. I actually really like them and like... is it weird to feel hopeful about this??? because I'm genuinely losing it over here.
