guy confessed to me mid-staircase collision and I literally froze

so I'm usually GREAT at reading people but somehow I'm completely oblivious when someone likes me lmaooo. anyway my guy friend's friend apparently has a crush on me, and my guy friend is like "bro he's dying to just say hi to you, you don't even like anyone else so just greet him once, it's not that deep." I was like nah I'm uncomfortable with that so I literally just ignored him whenever we'd make eye contact in the hallway, kept it moving.

then one day I leave the nurse's office and I'm walking back to class when this guy is coming DOWN the stairs with his backpack ready to leave early. we lock eyes and I'm panicking, he's panicking, we're both trying to move past each other but like. every time I step left he steps left. every time I go right he goes right. we're stuck in this fucking standoff and he's a whole head taller than me so I can only see his chest and I'm DYING.

and THEN. he's like "can't you just... say hi to me...?" I look up like "huh?" and he just FREEZES. stares at me. and goes *whispering to himself* "wow... you're actually really pretty..."

I KID YOU NOT. NOT MAKING THIS UP. I was so embarrassed I didn't even respond, I just stood there for like 2 minutes after he bolted down the stairs three steps at a time with his face bright red. he's my boyfriend now btw lmaooo
