How Different Languages Begin Their Fairy Tales β And It's Poetic

Someone got curious and looked up how other languages signal the start (or end) of a story β like how Korean has its own classic fairy tale opener. Turns out every culture has their own poetic version.
First example shared: German (Germany)
"In den alten Zeiten, als das WΓΌnschen noch geholfen hat..."
Translation: "In the old times, when wishing still worked..."
Paired with a silhouette of a lone figure standing under a breathtaking starry sky. The vibe is immaculate. This is literally the opening line of many Brothers Grimm fairy tales, and it hits differently when you realize it's basically saying: *back when magic was real.*
