Fell Asleep on the Bus and Witnessed Accidental Confession Arc
OP was riding the bus home, sat in the back because it was empty, and was drifting off to sleep β when two people sat down at the next stop and started talking. Instant nap cancelled.
The overheard conversation:
A: 'If we don't get into the same college, are you not gonna see me anymore?' (clearly hoping for the same school)
B: 'How would I not see you?'
A: 'I guess we'd just... naturally drift apart...'
B: 'Is that what YOU want?'
A: (says nothing, just stares out the window)
B: 'Hey, why aren't you answering? Are you not gonna see me anymore?'
The kicker: at that last line, B physically grabbed A by the face, turned it toward them, and when their eyes met, A started mumbling something (couldn't catch it), and B >>smiled<< and held A's hand.
