got caught dating coworker when I smacked my head at company dinner

so I've been secretly dating this guy at work right. and we're being SO careful about it. we literally don't make eye contact, barely talk, full formal speech when we have to say anything at all.

anyway we go to this mandatory team dinner (회식) and HE'S sitting right next to me. and directly above my chair there's this shelf or something mounted on the wall. I finish eating and just stand up HARD without thinking about it and my head goes CRACK off this thing. like genuinely knocked my skull so I just. collapse. I'm in actual pain going "AHHH" and sitting back down.

and he IMMEDIATELY grabs me and hugs me and starts going "are you okay?? does it hurt a lot?? let me see" and he's stroking my head while holding me and I'm just. sitting there.

the other people at the table had the WILDEST expressions. like ????? and I KNEW it was over. we were cooked. LMAOOO

so yeah. we got exposed because I yeeted myself into a shelf. that's my life now.
