he rejected the prettiest girl at school because of ME and I'm actually losing it

so the literal prettiest girl in our school just confessed to my crush in front of EVERYONE. like the whole crowd's going "say yes say yes" and I'm sitting there thinking okay. he's gonna say yes. time to move on I guess.

then I get a text that he told her he already likes someone. that he's sorry.

I CANNOT. So I text him like "why didn't you just say yes?" and he goes "because you're here. how could I say yes when you exist."

I'm actually screaming. SCREAMING. my heart just exploded.

Okay so I'm like late 20s, posting from a throwback but I need to say this. In high school I went to a co-ed school and there was this guy who lived near me so he'd give me a ride home every single day.

One day it starts pouring rain out of nowhere. I'm in my summer uniform (so basically see-through) and I'm literally freezing and mortified. And this guy just... takes off his cardigan and drapes it over my shoulders.

I still think about that moment all the time.

that guy is my husband now.

so like. pay attention to the people around you. someone you see every day might actually be your person. don't sleep on it.
