okay so the readable part of this page is genuinely haunting. the highlighted section is talking about going to a shared cemetery (공동묘지, like a communal burial ground) and the trees there having witnessed everything. the gist: 'that's why the story came out that day. before visiting the communal cemetery, the trees in that place had heard all of it. the whispers, the cries, the names. and ultimately that day's time, the wishes made there...' it just trails into the next page and i am NOT okay. whoever underlined that in red pencil knew exactly what they were doing.
