DO NOT pick up anyone in white at Byeongcheon Tunnel [horror story]

I wasn't going to post this but someone shared this and I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it.

So there's this tunnel. Byeongcheon Tunnel in Cheonan, South Korea. The legend is simple: if you're driving through alone at night and you pick someone up inside it, you are NOT making it out okay.

This is based on a real account from a sales guy named Yun. Late autumn 2020. He'd just finished a client meeting near Byeongcheon-eup and was driving back to Daejeon. His GPS took him through some winding backroads and routed him through this tunnel he'd never heard of. It was past 1am.

The tunnel itself was shorter than he expected. Only like 200 meters. But it was old, damp, felt like driving into a cave that hadn't been touched in decades. Dim lights. And the second he entered, his car radio started cutting out. Static.

He was in the middle of the tunnel when his headlights hit something.

Someone was standing there.

White shirt. Black pants. Head completely down. Arms just... hanging. Completely still. Right in the middle of the road.

Yun slammed the brakes. No collision somehow. He rolled down his window.

"Are you okay?"

Nothing. And here's the thing that really got me. even with the headlights shining directly on this person, he couldn't see a face. just a blurry outline. like a shadow wearing clothes.

Then he heard it. Low whisper right next to his ear.

"Give me a ride... I'm cold..."

He locked the door IMMEDIATELY and floored it out of that tunnel. But when he checked the rearview mirror.

The person was in the backseat.

He screamed and tried to stop the car but the steering wheel stopped responding. Lights flickering. Radio whispering on loop.

"I'm cold... come with me..."

He somehow made it to a nearby gas station and got the car stopped. He grabbed the attendant.

"There's someone in my car. Please check. PLEASE."

The attendant looked inside and shook his head.

"Sir... there's nobody there. You came alone."

Yun has never driven through Byeongcheon Tunnel again.

The thing he says he regrets most? Rolling down the window. That one second where he spoke to it.
