It's 5:30am. A woman starts screaming. For TEN MINUTES STRAIGHT. So my half-asleep brain immediately pulls up its threat assessment:
1. Dating violence
2. Sudden death in the family
3. Murder or robbery
Like my brain just. made a ranked list. at 5am. unhinged behavior from myself actually.
Anyway the screaming was bad enough to jolt me out of bed so I called 112 (Korean 911). Did I mention it was pitch dark and I genuinely could not tell if someone was carrying me away. I would not have known. I was that out of it.
