Horror story: a sealed well in Jeonju keeps calling my name

I wasn't going to post this but.

Fall 2023. I was staying at a guesthouse near Deokjin Park in Jeonju, working on some local culture project. Super normal vibe during the day, people everywhere, families walking around. But the second the sun went down that park got WEIRD. Like unnaturally quiet.

There's this old wooden pavilion inside the park and right next to it is a well. Stone structure, lid sealed on top, totally unremarkable. Most people walk past without even glancing at it.

I was on a late night walk when I heard it.

"Come here…"

From the well. I stopped. Told myself it was the wind. Took a few steps closer and it came again.

"Don't stay there… come here…"

I literally sprinted. Gone. Done.

Next morning I told a local about it and his face just. went. blank.

"That well? The one by the Deokjin pavilion?" he said. "A kid fell in there a long time ago. They never found the body. Lots of weird rumors after that."

Apparently like 20+ years ago a kindergartner went missing. Last place they were seen was near that pavilion. Case got closed with no leads, still unsolved.

And here's the part where I made a terrible decision. I went back. 10pm, empty park, just me sitting in front of that well.

It happened again.

"Come with me… it's warm in here…"

I tried to record it on my phone. Every single file came out corrupted.

After I posted about this in the local Deokjin community someone else replied almost immediately: "has anyone felt something off near the pavilion at night? I keep hearing something calling from the well side."

so it's not just me.
