Horror Story: Room 206 of an Abandoned Motel. Never Open It.

I wasn't going to post this but here we go.

So last summer I was working as an assistant director on a video content team. We were traveling all over Korea filming a "real horror stories" series, basically visiting haunted locations and documenting them. Then one tip came in that caught everyone's attention.

"There's a shut-down motel in Jeonju. Room 206... they say nobody can touch that room."

We drove out to check it.

The place looked EXACTLY how you'd imagine. Three-story red brick building, sign half torn off, someone had spray-painted "CLOSED" on the glass door. And underneath that, taped on with regular paper, was a handwritten note.

"Room 206. No entry. Do NOT open."

Our team lead just laughed and pulled out the keys. We'd already gotten permission from the building owner, full access to every room. So we went up.

Room 206 was at the end of the second floor hallway. The second we opened the door, this musty mold smell hit us. Windows were nailed shut. Everything looked abandoned. But here's the thing that got us, the thing that made no sense. The room was *cleaner* than all the others.

No dust on the table. A comb neatly placed in front of a cracked mirror. And on the coaster next to the cup... a fresh coffee stain. Like someone had been there recently.

"Did someone just come through here?"

The words weren't even fully out before the lights started flickering. The fluorescent bulb that had been totally fine when we walked in was now going off like an SOS signal. And then our youngest crew member screamed.

"In the mirror... there's someone... it's not me..."

We turned around.

There were three of us in that room. The mirror showed four.

A pale woman. Eyes sunken deep. Hair wet and hanging down flat. We ran. We literally just ran.

The next day the team pulled up the footage to review it.

In the video, only three people in the mirror. Just us.

But while our sound editor was going through the audio with headphones in, he suddenly screamed and fell off his chair.

What he heard:

"Give it back... it's mine... get out of here..."

The voice was still there in the raw audio file. We stopped filming that day and left Jeonju. The follow-up episode never came out.

A few days later our team lead got a call. No caller ID. A low voice on the other end.

"Room 206... don't open it again... this time... it won't end..."

After that, our team stopped taking horror projects entirely.

The motel in Jeonju is still standing. And on the door of Room 206, someone wrote new words in red.

"It's already too late."

Enjoyed this? Tap the heart.
