I had a dream about a bus crash. Then I missed the bus.

I wasn't going to post this but.

I had a dream about a traffic accident. The bus I take every single morning collided head-on with a truck and burst into flames. Everyone was on fire, screaming. And I turned to look out the window.

There was a woman standing outside. Long hair. And she was showing SO much gum when she smiled, like way too much, the kind of smile that's just wrong. She was watching the whole thing and just... grinning.

Then she looked at me. We made eye contact.

I woke up.

Cold sweat everywhere. The whole body kind. I felt sick but I was like okay, it's just a dream, whatever, I'm gonna be late if I don't move. So I got ready. Left the house at my normal time. Walked to the bus stop like always.

And then I got this feeling. This really bad feeling. The dream just flashed back into my head out of nowhere.

...no. No way. It was literally just a dream and I'll be LATE if I skip this bus.

The bus pulled up. Doors opened. People filed in one after another.

I didn't get on.

I stood there like an idiot and watched it leave and thought okay, I'm walking to school, great, I'm so dumb, this is so dumb.

I was maybe five minutes into the walk when I heard it.

Massive explosion. The kind you feel in your chest.

People around me started running toward the sound. I ran too. And when I got there.

It was exactly what I saw in the dream. Exactly. Fire everywhere. People on the ground making sounds I don't want to describe. It looked like hell. Actual hell.

I was just standing there, completely frozen, when someone tapped me on the shoulder.

I turned around.

Long hair. That gummy smile stretched way too wide.

She looked at me and said, almost like she was just talking to herself:

"Weird. In the dream, you died too."

And then she was gone.
