I wasn't going to post this but I need someone to tell me I didn't imagine it.
So the road had some guardrails and barriers set up, and as I drove past I glanced over just to check. No reason. Just a feeling.
And she was THERE. Same spot. Same exact position. Just. Sitting there.
I stopped breathing.
How is this a hallucination. How. HOW is that a hallucination.
I looked again and okay, the road surface was bad so the car was rattling and her body was kind of... swaying with it. Which made it so much more real somehow. The way it looked so *natural*.
I was cold and sweating at the same time.
Why? Because I was scared. Obviously.
And here's the thing, I'm not even a jumpy person. I genuinely enjoy ghost stories, I think they're fun. I've literally never seen a ghost in my life. Used to say I *wanted* to see one.
Yeah I don't say that anymore.
When I first spotted her I was so startled the car swerved.
I nearly lost the wheel. Which, fair, I was literally driving.
I had to breathe. Just breathe. Get it together. Get it TOGETHER. I kept telling myself that the whole rest of the drive.
