okay so this happened last year around june/july and i'm still getting chills thinking about it.
usually my two younger siblings and i all sleep in the same room on the floor, but they went to some youth center camp that week so i had the room to myself for the first time in forever. i was so hyped to finally be alone that i stayed up late watching tv and just crashed.
i always wake up randomly in the middle of the night anyway, so that night i'm tossing and turning around 4am or whatever. it's summer so it's hot as hell and i only laid down a blanket, no cover. i'm half-awake just thrashing around trying to get comfortable when my hand brushes against something next to me. still basically asleep, i just thought one of my siblings somehow came back early and was sleeping next to me so i rolled over and went back to sleep.
but when i woke up the next morning i literally FROZE. there was NO ONE else in that room. i was 100% alone all night. someone else was sleeping next to me.
i thought maybe i just touched a pillow or something but there's nothing in that room that would feel like that. no extra pillows, no blankets piled up, nothing.
after that night i started sleeping with my desk lamp on all the time. haven't slept alone since then and honestly i still get goosebumps when i think about it. like it happened over a year ago but the feeling of touching whatever that was... nope. still nope.
