mom left a note on the table and I ugly cried alone on my birthday

So two years ago on my birthday I threw a party and my friends got into a fight and ruined the whole thing. ended up fighting with all of them. came home and dad was on a work trip, little sibling was sleeping over at a friend's place, and mom had already gone to bed because she was tired.

I walked in just completely defeated. and then I saw a note on the dining table.

"your mom was so tired she had to sleep first, so she put her card out for you. order that bbuling you like. we'll light the candles next year."

I cried SO HARD. like ugly sobbing alone at the table at whatever o'clock. the birthday was a disaster but that note just. yeah.
