My MIL opened my fridge and literally sighed at me

Okay so my husband and I are both working full time. Together we bring in over 8 million won a month (~$6,000 USD). And honestly? We don't cook. Like almost never.

The reason is simple. No time, and we just... don't feel like we need to. We do delivery or meal kits. Husband has zero complaints, he actually handles dishes and recycling more than I do. We decided a long time ago that not stressing each other out matters more than having a home-cooked meal every night. That's just how we live.

Then my MIL visits.

She opens our fridge. Stares into it. And sighs. That kind of heavy, loaded sigh.

"What is this. It's completely empty."

And THEN she starts.

"When are you ever going to cook a proper meal."

"If you have kids like this you're gonna feed them delivery food too??"

I felt my whole mood just. drop. So I tried to respond nicely, I really did.

"They make really good baby food products these days, mother-in-law. When the time comes we'll figure it out."

She clicked her tongue. Squeezed her eyes shut. Said "ha." Just "ha." And then walked out without another word.

That FACE. I cannot get it out of my head. The way she looked at me like I was some irresponsible disaster of a person.

And I genuinely don't get it?? My husband is fine with everything. We BOTH agreed to live this way. So why does she get to come into our home and tell us our lifestyle is wrong?

Not cooking = huge moral failure apparently. We don't even have kids yet and she's already going IN on me like that.

Am I being too sensitive or is this actually unhinged behavior. I genuinely want an outside opinion on this :(((
