Okay I wasn't going to post this but this story has been living in my head rent free and I need to share it.
Park Ji-hoon, a guy in his 30s living in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, moved into a brand new officetel¹ earlier this year. Nice building. Clean. 24/7 CCTV. The kind of place where you feel safe. He picked it specifically because the parking was good and he works nearby. Normal stuff.
The first weird thing happened like a week after he moved in. Late night, he's parking on B2, leans over to grab a bag from the backseat. And in the rearview mirror he catches this... silhouette. Someone walking past. He whips around. Nobody there. He figured he was just tired. Long day. Whatever.
A few nights later he comes home around 11pm after a work dinner (회식², the kind you can't say no to). Pulls into B2 again. One of the lights is flickering and he notices someone walking toward him. Slowly. Like, WEIRDLY slowly. And he just... takes out his phone and takes a picture. He said he doesn't even know why he did it. Something about the scene just felt off.
Next morning he opens his camera roll and.
The woman in the photo. Her face is completely black. Not dark, not shadowed. BLACK. Like it was manually blurred out. Shoulder-length hair down, body totally visible, but where the face should be there's just... nothing. And here's the part that actually made my skin crawl: the spot where she's standing in the photo? There's a wall there. A solid wall. No one could physically be standing there.
He goes to the building management office. They're reluctant but he keeps asking so they pull up the CCTV. March 11th, 11:02pm. You can see him park and get out of his car. And then, behind his car, a dark shadow passes.
But here's the thing. The shadow doesn't just pass once. On the CCTV footage it keeps looping, same movement, same interval, over and over. Like something is just. Circling. His car. And every loop it gets a little closer before disappearing.
After that he stopped using the underground parking entirely. Parked outside. Stopped going out late. Started having the same nightmare every night, standing in the parking garage, faceless woman walking toward him from the far end, slow, getting closer. He'd wake up soaked in sweat.
Then March 25th.
He forgot. Just had a long day and on autopilot he pulled into B2. There was fog everywhere that night and the parking garage was darker than usual. He gets out, starts walking toward the elevator.
And from behind him, low and raspy, a woman's voice:
"You saw it... didn't you..."
He did not turn around. He RAN. Sprinted to the elevator, went upstairs, turned on every single light in his apartment and did not sleep.
Next day he decided to move. He's in Gangnam now and says nothing like this has happened since.
But he still has the dream sometimes. Standing in the parking garage. The faceless woman looking at him.
The officetel is still operating btw. People live there right now. B2 still has a flickering light.
