junior kept mocking me then showed up sweaty and everything changed

so there's this junior who would constantly mess with me and make fun of me whenever we'd run into each other. but then one day she was going through something rough and i listened to her talk about it, and after that we just started texting every day. anyway i was having a genuinely bad day and i hit her up but apparently my vibe was OFF because she could tell something was wrong and she started worrying about me. and i HATED that because i felt like this loser who just makes everyone else anxious, you know? so i just left her on read and skipped dinner and went to hide in some empty corner of school where nobody goes and i was literally just sitting there crying. and then i hear someone RUNNING towards me and i look up and it's her. it's the middle of summer, she gets hot easily anyway, and she's literally DRENCHED in sweat from running around looking for me. she sees me and just breaks into this huge smile like "oh there you are" and honestly. time stopped. i'm not even exaggerating.
