went to cambodia on a scam 'date' and i am NOT okay

okay so i've been lurking on this community forever and never commented but i HAVE to talk about this.

so there's this post offering free accommodation in cambodia, right. i'm like sure why not, commented once as a joke basically. and then this girl actually contacts me.

we call. she's... nice??

around 5am she goes 'i'll cover your stay AND your flight' so i'm like. okay. OKAY. i grab my id, get my shots, pack up and just. go. classic cambodia arc.

i'm checking in mid-trip like is she real, did she get on the plane, is she actually coming (btw she confirmed via ㅔㅔㄹ lol¹)

and then i land at cambodia airport.

she's not there to pick me up. instead some DUDE shows up and says he's her driver?? and then. AND THEN. a van pulls up. looks like a regular starbucks franchise van. i get in.

there's one person next to me, one behind me. and the guy who picked me up tells me these people are 'coworkers' and we're all going together.
