Summer of 1998. I was 6.

We went to visit my uncle's place out in the countryside in Damyang, South Jeolla province. Just a classic summer trip, you know. Watermelon, chicken, grapes... we literally just ate the whole time lol.

Then my cousin and uncle were like, let's all go hang out by the reservoir.

It was SO HOT that day. One of those summers where the air just sits on you.

Okay heads up btw. Reservoirs are no-swimming zones. So obviously nobody was supposed to get in the water.
